We have had one extremely busy summer!!
Not only have we managed to bang in 4 winners we have had a brand new 8 horse walker installed, concreted the whole yard, changed the look of the tack room and other buildings and got all of the horse haylage in for the winter. All of this along side keeping a few going over the summer months and having a good clean and disinfectant of the stables.
We are really pleased with how the yard at Jerusalem is looking and will add photos very soon!!
Our Morris ran a very good race last week at Sedgefield to be third, he travelled very well, if not a bit too keenly with the eventual winner most of the way to just get ran out of it on the finish. The winner was a well handicapped mare on her old form and the change of yard to Dianne Sayer had sweetened her up to get back to her former class. Morris came out of the race grand and will go in a similar profile of race again soon.
Mitcd was fourth at Catterick on her most recent start, again ran a cracking race but the pace had been too slow throughout which meant she was caught for toe on the finish. She will return to hurdles next time. She is in fantastic from and a great little mare for her owners Barry and Julie Lloyd.
Moving on to exciting news of new arrivals!! We bought two new horses at the sales, Savoy Court and Robin Du Roi, both now have been sold on to owners.
We sourced a further horse from Gemma Anderson who has now stopped training, Gemma has done well buying horses in Ireland and we were attracted to a novice hurdler of hers called Kennedy’s Field. Victoria and Liz Annett have bought this gelding by Multiplex and fingers crossed they get a lot of fun!!
We also have several new horses preparing for their winter campaign, so watch this space!!
